SZMISZ Erasmus + project Civican 3rd-11th of April, 2024

Together with SZMISZ, we organized a one-week public life training in Dunaszerdahely for 30 young people from 9 European countries and youth organizations: Spain, Italy, Czech, Hungary, Armenia, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Georgia. A few memorable moments from our training: -We organized a study trip to the Slovak office of the European Parliament in Bratislava.

-The participants took part in cultural workshops held by trainers.

-We visited the mayor of Dunaszerdahely, Zoltán Hájos, who welcomed us at the town hall.

-On the occasion of the presidential elections of Slovak Republic, we organized an election observation where young people could participate as observers in the election halls. We ended the election night with a party awaiting the results. It was interesting to see that even young people from completely different countries were able to immerse themselves in waiting for the local results especially when they understood the context of the elections.

-Furthermore, we visited the local football DAC stadium, where the club's PR manager Krisztián Nagy showed us around.

- and also to the Gabčíkovo/Bős hydroelectric power plant. Thank you for the welcome!

It was an intense week, but a great experience, we were able to participate in good trainings and make new friends.

Maybe we can go to various international training courses from SZMISZ, but we don't want to shout it out yet. We will contact you with more information.
